This Time A Bird is Sam’s fourth commercially released album. 2011 saw the release of Wasting Time(released under the name ‘The Zoom’), and Anything Again came out in 2012. January of 2016 saw the release of the first of the hour-long continuous
albums: Soft Out of Seventeen. These are all also available on Amazon, Google Play, CDBaby and iTunes. CDs of This Time A Bird, Soft Out of Seventeen and Wasting Time can also be ordered from theSHOP.
This Time A Bird is a very 2016 album: lyrically it covers Brexit (good God what a hateful word), the U.S. Presidential Election, the international refugee crisis, and the death of Sir Terry Wogan, plus lots of swearing. In fact, the album contains (at the last count) 31 instances of the word ‘Fuck’, in various guises. So it’s probably not especially child-friendly. Buuuuut… Fuck it. Sometimes it needs to be said 31 times.
